We’ll close out 2026 with a special solo headline show!
2026 has been a great year for us, with our first new album in eight years, two best-of vinyl releases, and the reissue of “Just Be There,” a dance tune not included on any of our albums, by the California-based label Forest Jams.
Thank you so much for listening to sugar plant this year.

Unfortunately, our outdoor long-set show planned for September had to be canceled, but we’ll make up for it by playing a full set at this show.
This will be our last live show of the year, so don’t miss it. We’ll see you at CLUB Que!

GROOVETUBE persents A DAY ON THE BEACHは残念ながら開催中止となりました。

We regret to announce that GROOVETUBE presents A DAY ON THE BEACH, scheduled for September 26, has been cancelled.
As of September 24, the weather forecast for the event hours, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, shows a 90–100% chance of rain. In addition, due to the damage caused by the heavy rainfall from Typhoon No. 25, train services on the Sobu Main Line between Enokido and Naruto remain completely suspended. According to JR, it is expected to take approximately one month to restore service between Enokido and Naruto.

Due to this suspension, it is currently not possible to reach Matsuo or Yokoshiba stations from the Tokyo/Chiba direction. These are the stations where buses to the event venue are scheduled to depart.

Many areas across Chiba Prefecture are also still dealing with the aftermath of the recent torrential rain, and depending on the weather conditions this weekend, the situation could worsen further.

Taking all of these circumstances into consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to joining us, and greatly appreciate your understanding.

出演は久しぶりの野外ライブとなるHave a Nice Day!

GROOVETUBE FES began in 2014 as a small DIY gathering created by local music lovers in Yokoshibahikari, Chiba. It was a place where people could freely enjoy the music they loved in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to the support of local residents, artists, and friends, the festival gradually grew over the years.
This year, we're returning to those roots. The idea is simple: a day where staff, musicians, and audience members can all relax and enjoy music together by the beach.
The lineup features Have a Nice Day!, making a rare outdoor appearance, sugar plant, performing a special long set that will carry us through to sunset, and resident DJs SUGIURUMN and YODATARO.
Come spend a beautiful day on the beach with us.

Built around wave- and vortex-like soundscapes emerging from stillness, and vocals that shimmer with a luminous, almost divine presence, this collection highlights the defining contours of each composition. Reframing 30 years of work from a contemporary vantage point, the album quietly reveals the expansive sonic world of sugar plant.
This release comes from a Tokyo-based creative design studio in Higashi-Azabu, run by a florist/designer who previously reissued the remastered CD edition of sugar plant’s trance mellow. While rooted in music, the work is conceived as an analog object that embodies spatial awareness.
As the needle drops, a unique sonic landscape unfolds—marked by clarity and soft light—accompanied by a sense of visual expansiveness. This is a collection that presents sugar plant’s music as a soundscape: one that resists simple genre categorization, grounded instead in a broad perspective and a deep artistic sensibility.
Limited to 300 copies on colored vinyl, this rare edition pursues a high level of completion as a work that translates sound into both language and visual form. Mastered specifically for analog, the record invites a tactile listening experience—watching it spin, reading the lyrics, and engaging with the artwork.
